Description
Chipton Ross is seeking a Credit and Collections Clerk for an opening in Wall Township, NJ.

Responsibilities
Accountable for collecting the maximum amount of overdue funds from customers, which may include a variety of collection techniques, legal claims, and the selective use of outside collection services. Create and maintain credit history files; Analyze and assess the creditworthiness of account/client using external credit risk management tools/reports; support the collection efforts/calls for accounts receivable portfolio; document daily collections activity; research account disputes and billing discrepancies; Perform account/payment reconciliations; Respond to credit inquiries from external and internal clients; dentify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts; Identify bad debt or financial exposure.
Processes supplier invoices against authorized purchase orders or check requests.
Creation of payment proposals and cash disbursements.
Supplier work flow creation.
Process payment proposals through Kyriba.
Monthly inter-company reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve problems with internal and external suppliers.
Process month end reports related to the accounts payable function.
Knowledge and ability to back-up the payroll function. Process weekly payroll: proof hours, compute payroll, send file to ADP. Prepare weekly stock reports.
File invoices and remittance copies to vendors.
Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls
Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements
Experience: 3-6 years experience.
Has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience
Entry level often for those with work experience in the skill area
Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions

Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule
1st shift, 5/40 schedule



Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
