- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Assembler for an opening in Scotts Valley, CA.
Apply 5S principles to work areas in order to maintain a clean, orderly, presentable and safe work environment for all. Utilize lean practices to reduce production bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and reduce cycle time. Participate in solo or team Continuous Improvement activities to achieve efficiency, quality & reliability! Attention to detail so that quality standards are met or exceeded. Ability to work reliably and effectively in a team-based culture. Assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies, with a significant amount of work under a microscope to assemble complex assemblies. Perform tasks as an internal auditor. Write engineering change requests to address production, documentation, or design problems. Document non-conformances utilizing our Quality Management Software (Quality Collaboration by Design) Cycle count program processing and problem resolution. Pick inventory parts to fill manufacturing and customer needs. Work order management using MRP system (Expandable). Perform other activities as assigned, including cross-training. Practice work safety at all times.
Two years of experience performing assembly work. Experience using common hand and electronic assembly tools safely. Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings. Experience with glassblowing is a bonus. Ability to lift 50 Lbs. as needed
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
6am - 2:30pm
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
