Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Buyers/Procurement Agents for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform general buying duties, issue RFPs, assess proposals, negotiate, place PO, follow up.
Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging and other supplies
necessary for the operation of the organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to
establish price objectives. Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing
processes. Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers'
operations to determine factors that affect prices. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes
trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
o Purchases supplies, software licenses and upgrades, equipment and various services to support customer requirements.
o Investigates and develops sources of supplies. Selects vendors to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as
price, quantity, quality and delivery date.
o Processes purchasing transactions according to state and federal statutes and accounting policies and procedures.
o Generates requests for proposals to suppliers. Ensures all information is contained in RFP. Reviews proposals for
completeness.
o Resolves all accounting and shipping and receiving issues with internal customers and vendors.
o Works with export control and customs on foreign orders.
o Initiates negotiations on pricing, deliveries, and other terms and conditions.
o Prepares, administers and maintains required documentation for all procurements.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3 to 5 years experience doing hands on buying, experience using SAP.
Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Excel
o Typically 5 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree, or 3 or more years of relevant experience with
Master's Degree
o Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures
o Customer service orientation
o Must work well in a team environment
o Must be detail oriented
o Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
o Must possess strong organizational skills
o Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time
o Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations

EDUCATION:
Bachelors' degree but will consider experience in lieu of degree. HS degree with experience.

HOURS:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 am -- 4pm
Remote work but candidate needs to be local to El Segundo, CA

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
