- Chipton-Ross is seeking a QC Inspector B for an opening in Ayer, MA.
Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks associated with monitoring and analyzing the product for compliance to drawings, specifications, and customer contracts, development, manufacture, or repair of products.
Duties include, but are not limited to inspection of incoming material receipts and work in process. May be required to set up, adjust, maintain, and calibrate specialized equipment and tooling. May perform mechanical and electrical inspections and/or testing to tolerances and specifications. May perform assembly, wire, and other functions required prior, during, and after the inspection operations. Responsible for in process and final product quality. May analyze results, implement problem solving and/or develop specifications and procedures. May prepare reports and recommend solutions to technical problems. May float and perform work assignments in other departments.
Maintains written/electronic records. May repair, adjust, and/or calibrate equipment needed to perform assigned tasks. Minimal supervision required. Experience in a Manufacturing environment dealing with Military/ Defense applications desirable. Additional QA training / certifications would be preferred but not required.
Requires High school or GED. 3+ yrs. of related inspection, testing, and calibration experience and/or related intermediate vocational training. Requires reading, writing and math skills and the ability to work from established drawings, schematics, and detailed procedures and instructions.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
