Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for an opening in Detroit, MI.

SUMMARY:
Working at our Detroit, Michigan Peptone Manufacturing Plant, the Inventory Control Coordinator will combine a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices with Inventory Control Practices and ERP Software Transaction Experience to identity, correct and reduce labeling errors and ERP transaction errors to reduce cost, improve cycle time and on time delivery to our valued customers. (S)he will work closely with production, logistics and quality assurance colleagues in this endeavor.

Identifying, correcting and reducing labeling and transaction errors will not only improve the on-time flow of products to our valued customers, but will enable the site to focus its efforts on creation and implementation of long term systems and process to sustain current operations and support long term growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for pre-shipment label and documentation verification and correction. Completes final reviews of production documentation (such as batch records) assuring ERP inventory transactions were processed correctly. Tracks ERP system errors processed for coaching and continuous improvement purposes. Performs Cycle Counts as needed. Works closely with Material and Inventory Control Specialist to perform Cycle Count Adjustment investigations. Trains Colleagues on performing ERP transactions as needed. Completes goods issuance and labor transactions in site ERP system. Supports continuous improvement activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices experience. Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control Experience
ERP (Oracle E1 or Similar) data entry experience. ERP Experience, preferably Oracle / E1. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures. Microsoft Office and proficiency.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (or 5 years of relevant experience).

Full-Time
1st Shift
Mon-Fri 07:00-15:30

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
