- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Manager - Level 3 for an opportunity in Burbank, CA.
The Project Manager, Global Business Analytics position will focus on supporting the Global Consumer Products business through the collection, management and ongoing auditing of licensee GTINs, MPNs and SKUs to support internal point-of-sale (POS) reporting. The project manager will also provide retail analytics support with regards to the production and distribution of standard reports. The Project Manager will report into the Director, Retail Analytics located in the Burbank office.
o Project Management
o Review, document and communicate requirement needs for item master enhancements
o Provide weekly or daily updates as needed to the business on overall data quality
o Liaise with local stakeholders, retailers and IT team
o Data Management
o Master Data workbook management and active coordination with category associates
o Collecting, managing and auditing licensee GTINs, MPNs and SKUs to support internal validation
o Maintain manual data mapping of key attributes and production of manual reporting
o Manage retailer supplier systems (i.e. submit item shares and follow up with licensee approvals)
o Identify, consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources to audit current POS coverage
Licensee POS/royalty statements, key retail account data, NPD, and etc…
o Monitor sell-in and sell-thru performance from internal point-of-sale business data
o Review with local sales teams and accounts to ensure optimal data coverage
o Weekly data acquisition, processing and data cleansing
o Visualizations / Presentations
o Create weekly KPI dashboards to monitor POS coverage and drive action
o Manage the production and distribution of standard reports
o Lead ad hoc projects, as requested
Plan and manage business projects, and make sure they are completed on time, meet the needs of the client and stay within budget.
Determine what the client or company wants to achieve.
Create timelines; and determine costs and resources needed.
Generate a detailed plan and schedule for each stage of the project.
Provide direction and coaching on project specific tasks.
Select supporting staff and lead a project team.
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for materials and/or services.
Ensure that each stage is progressing on time, on budget and to the processes and quality standards of the company.
Develop & implement processes for PM teams to complete activities to current policies and practices; keep documentation organized; identify process improvements.
Manage team to create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Report the project progress to senior managers and the client.
Manage risks and manage to avoid delays.

Job Summary: Non-IT Project Managers plan, budget, monitor and report on the project with project management tools, sometimes pitching the idea of the project or being assigned to it once it's already been approved. The project manager is the bridge between upper management and the teams tasked with the actual execution of the project. They make sure the scope of the project is sound, reporting regularly on the progress of the project and that it is staying on the approved schedule.

5-7 years' experience in the above.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Retail / Consumer Products experience
o Minimum 5+ years of project management experience
o Minimum 5+ years of retail experience

WORK HOURS: 8:00AM - 5:00PM / Manager will determine schedule
