Chipton-Ross is seeking a Aero Thermal Analyst for an opening in Huntsville, AL.
80% - Conduct Aero Thermal analysis of propulsion system components linking aerodynamics, combustion and heat transfer with the mechanical design of the components. Formulate analysis approaches, set up, and carry out analyses of these components using a range of 1-D, 2-D, and 3-D analytical tools. Conduct post-test data analysis to validate, as well as refine, the analyses to better match test data through physics-based critical thinking.
15% - Design and support verification tests of propulsion systems and components. Be adept at engine test data reduction, propulsion systems and component test support, and instrumentation layout planning. Develop test systems and strategies, specify instrumentation and analyze test results. Participate in team meetings, technical reviews, design reviews, peer reviews and problem solving meetings. Work with senior engineers in a team setting and take on responsibilities which demonstrate leadership skills.
5% - Produce briefings for peer and management reviews, and present to internal and external customers. Using best practices, document all work and prepare reports as needed.
CFD and thermal analysis, scripting and data processing.
-Presentation and documentation of results to internal and external customers.
At least 5 years of CFD/Thermal analysis engineering experience.
HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS
BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics
