Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Associate Buyer for an opening in Arlington, TX.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direct supervision, works with procurement staff assisting in daily functions for the purpose of executing on time delivery, coordinating engineering change orders and facilitating successful communication between UTAS and the supply base. Receives and responds to routine correspondence following established procedures not requiring management review. Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.
•‘Procurement of materials per the requirements of the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system from approved suppliers.
•‘Place requirements to meet the cost, quality and schedule objectives of the organization in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
•‘Performs as the supplier manager for the commodity assigned; communicate SIS objectives to suppliers.
•‘Performs value engineering on commodity in concert with FUS and supplier to provide best product/best price.

REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in buying electronic components or Machined parts preferred.


EDUCATION:
Attending college for a Bachelor's degree in business
High School or GED

SHIFT:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
