Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I for an opening in Princeton, NJ.

OBJECTIVE:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the analytical development team focusing on providing the support for in-process sample testing for process development and manufacturing operations. The position will be responsible for assay development, establishment, qualification, and testing for early and late stage programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides in-process testing support to enable process development for multiple programs within client portfolio. Clearly and accurately communicates the results of work by creating documentation of the testing/analysis and obtained results. Records results in notebook accurately, clearly, and regularly. Recognizes and reports unexpected results and non-routine analytical and product problems; recommends solutions. Engage in departmental initiatives to bring positive improvements and efficiencies in workflow. Collaborate with the different functional areas of biologics development including, upstream development, downstream development, manufacturing operations, and the project management.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have experience with residual and separations analytical methods (rDNA, HCP, rProA, SEC, Titer). Deep knowledge of varied aspects or a specialized aspect of discipline. Working knowledge of GMP/GLP regulations in cGMP/cGLP manufacturing environment preferred. Solid lab skills. Good writing, communication and presentation skills. Solid MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent organization and planning skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to standard procedures. Ability to design and execute tasks and studies based on the deliverables. Ability to properly document work and write reports. Ability to function in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees. Ability to make decisions that require choosing between limited alternatives to resolve complex problems. Ability to lead and mentor less experienced staff. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree or PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology or a related field.

With Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 2 years of experience related to supporting in-process testing of residual and separation methods (residual protein A intermediate, residual Host Cell protein, residual DNA, Size exclusion chromatography and Titer)
With Master's degree, minimum of 1 years of experience related to supporting in-process testing of residual methods (residual protein A intermediate, residual Host Cell protein, residual DNA)

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
