- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer 4 for an opening in Berkeley, MO.
Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.
•Development and documentation of electrical subsystems and packaging of electronics
•Assist with monitoring supplier and manufacturing performance
•Support system integration and requirement verification
•Performing system qualification tests to verify operational and functional requirements
•Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
•Experience designing, documenting, and implementing electrical systems
•Support internal, informal peer reviews and formal design reviews with USAF and USN customers, as needed
•Software integration experience
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Assist in informal and formal testing of support equipment, including aircraft and/or component physical and functional interface, as needed
•Work under general direction and in collaboration with other engineers, designers and support staff
•Proven track record of planning and status of work, and to leading a small team
•Provide technical leadership across many programs
•Experience working with cross-functional teams
•Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime
•Earned Value Management experience is a plus.
Accredited Bachelor's degree or higher.
Possible travel required.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Candidate will need to be local to STL as they will be required to be on-site 100% of the time.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
