Description


Chipton Ross is seeking a Project Engineer for an opening in Jupiter, FL.

Responsibilities
Role will be to coordinate design and development of air breathing hypersonic propulsion systems.
Under general direction, performs project engineering assignments requiring a wide application of advanced principles, theories and concepts in the field plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines. Typical responsibilities include: Provides imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques. Conceives and plans projects involving the development of new methods to attain objectives. Provides direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas. Prepares technical requirements and design requirements in support of project goals. Keeps current within area of specialty in support of project assignments. May perform as the engineering cost account manager. May provide technical guidance to less senior project engineers and project support personnel. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to get results may result in serious project delays and considerable expenditure of resources. Inter-organizational and resident customer contacts are frequent while outside customer contacts are occasional in providing solutions to technical problems associated with specific assignment. Requirements
7+ years of experience
Interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of personnel
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Organizational skill to effectively plan and coordinate schedules, cost and work flow.
May require the use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and various computer systems.
Understanding of program and technical requirements necessary to achieve complex technical objectives.
Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.

Education
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate science and five years of related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule
1st Shift, 9/80 schedule

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
