Chipton Ross is seeking an HMA Research Fellow in Wauwatosa, WI.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop new platform technologies for hot-melt adhesives (HMA) and pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA).
- Design and perform lab-scale experiments to screen new classes of raw materials; compile analytical data, document observations, and summarize findings.
- Closely monitor IP landscape and continually review technical literature to identify novel routes to generate or modify polymers and other raw materials for HMA/HMPSA systems.
-Develop structure/property relationships and physically-meaningful, data-based models to predict adhesion performance and physical properties of new HMA/HMPSA systems.
- Characterize physical and mechanical properties of adhesives using various analytical techniques.
-Propose, design, and direct programs with external R&D teams to develop new raw material options for next generation adhesives.
-Document results in electronic lab notebook and summarize findings in written reports.
-Perform job hazard assessments and develop best practices for lab procedures.
-Maintain lab equipment; ensure lab area is clean and well organized.
- Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines, and Bostik specific environmental, health, and, safety expectations.

Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer or material science with extensive experience in organic synthesis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to describe results of studies within Bostik global R&D community as well as to business teams.
- High intellectual curiosity and excellent problem solving skills.
- Willingness to take direction, but also work both independently and as a part of a collaborative team.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer or material science with extensive experience in organic synthesis.

First shift, full time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
