Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Technologist I for an opening in St. Louis, MO.
This position's main responsibilities are to set up machines to order specification for bottling. Fill and label products to order specification. Clean and sanitize equipment between orders. Strict attention to good manufacturing practices and plant safety and sanitation policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Accurately weigh, pack, and label orders according to work order specification.
o Follow work order instructions and operating procedures accurately.
o Ensure equipment and work area readiness and cleanliness in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
o Must be able to operate department pumps, filters, scales and computer systems in order to perform work tasks.
o Maintain safe work area using necessary equipment to prevent accidents.
o Provide product samples for quality analysis
o Monitor and report inventory variances of ingredients
o Other duties as assigned
Must be able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
o Must be able to wear a respirator
o Must be able to perform heavy lifting and physical work
o Basic math skills required
o Ability to learn to operate various equipment including filters, mixers, packaging equipment, and pallet jacks is required
Must have a high school education or equivalent
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
