Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Operator 2 in Carlsbad, CA.

Position Summary:

Work in a team-based environment within a manufacturing department responsible for producing solutions for the Gels Department, that manufactures SDS Gels, and buffer solutions for the Antibody Department.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe work environment
Perform work in accordance with daily production schedules to fulfill work orders and special requests
Follow batch records to perform solution preparation while documenting the production process as required
Utilize basic mathematical skills to perform required calculations and provide accurate data documentation
Maintain cleanliness of the solutions lab on a daily basis
Maintain inventory of chemicals in solutions lab
Support the Antibody department by ensuring all Kanban items are sufficiently supplied
Independently plan and schedule production , as needed, for buffer solutions based on the request from R&D, Antibody and other departments
Provide assistance to adjacent groups after daily duties have been achieved
Learn and follow all department SOPs, guidelines, and procedures
Perform daily updates in multiple database systems
Share best practices with other employees in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity
Proactively addresses ergonomic concerns in work area
Solves basic problems utilizing experience and knowledge
Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisors
Job Requirements:

Basic mathematical skills to perform required calculations
Experience with lab equipment such as pH meter, mixers, titrator, and RI meters.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking
High school diploma (or GED) required
A Bachelors in similar field, biology, biotechnology and or chemistry (preferred)
At least 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
Proactive problem-solving skills
Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or GMP manufacturing environment
Experience with Good Documentation Practices
