Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Affordability Engineer III for an opening in Canoga Park, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead or assist with should-cost estimates for proposals.
Lead or assist with PRICE TruePlanning estimates of propulsion system costs and associated component costs.
Lead or support Design-to-Cost efforts on programs.
Build a strong working relationship with the other Client employees to ensure that the group's capabilities are fully utilized and that the group's results are meeting customer needs.
Embrace a continuous improvement mindset.
Demonstrate a 100% commitment to quality in actions, decisions, and conversations.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with COTS parametric and other hardware modeling tools is highly desired.
-Advance Excel skills
-Understanding of how to best segregate and capture product costs is preferred -Familiarization with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle systems is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required -Strong work ethic and drive to succeed are required

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's in Engineering or related discipline and at least 9 years directly related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

MISCELLANEOUS:
