Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I for an opening in Frederick, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and characterize a variety of genetically modified mammalian suspension cell systems aimed at protein and viral vector production for clinical applications
Characterize culture system performance using techniques including flow cytometry, ELISA and related techniques (BLI), gene expression assays (qPCR/ddPCR)
Meticulously track, compile and report results in a digital format to support cGMP documentation and protect intellectual property.
Interact closely with other internal departments in the development of new products and troubleshooting of existing processes
Comply with all company safety, training, and quality regulations (e.g., ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements, etc.) and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the ability to maintain meticulous records of work performed and report on a regular basis.
Excellent organizational , time management and multi-tasking skills
Must be proficient using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

PREFERRED:
Experience with cGMP cell line development
Experience with performing various assays to assess protein and viral vector quantity and quality, e.g. FACS. Western, Octet, qPCR etc.

EDUCATION:
B.S. degree in Cell biology, Virology or related scientific discipline with 0-3+ years of relevant experience with mammalian cell culture technique

SHIFT:
Full-Time
9am-5pm

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
