Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector Machined Parts 2 for an opportunity in Palmdale, CA,
Inspects machined or partially machined parts, using predetermined methods and sequences to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications and quality requirement. Devises setups to measure the accuracy of compound angles, exacting tolerances, and numerous dimensions. Works from drawings, sketches, and specifications. Analyzes defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends corrective action. May determine method and sequences necessary to perform inspections.
• High school Diploma or GED
• Basic Computer Skills / Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Blueprint reading skills
• 3-4 years related experience in CMM, assembly tooling, or machined parts inspection
• Inspection equipment such as: micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Must be a self-star and ability to work independently
• Detail Oriented
Must be proficient in Calypso software version 7.0
Possess a high degree of GD&T understanding
Shop Floor planning experience
High school diploma or equivalent/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
4/10 workweek. Some OT hours may be needed to support.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
