Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer II for an opening in Arlington, TX.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support of computational systems architecture and system software for real-time simulation applications


•Support functional requirements implementation for computer software. Create new and modified simulation models using established modeling techniques


•Design, develop, code, document, test and debug simulation software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions


•Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and schedule commitments


•Complete work with a reasonable amount of direction


•Must possess the ability to work within and positively contribute to a team environment


•Ability to apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions


•Participate in design reviews


•Prepare, check and coordinate release of support documentation to appropriate program and company standards


•Communicate status and issues along with solutions and recommendations to lead engineers


REQUIREMENTS:
•C/C++ required


•UNIX/LINUX experience required


•FORTRAN, Ada and other programming languge experience a plus


•ClearCase experience a plus


•8+ years software engineering experience desired


•Must have good presentation skills


EDUCATION:
BS Computer Science or equivalent required
