Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 1 for an opening in Hazelwood, MO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Gathers information to support software project management. Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics. Supports software research and development projects. Troubleshoots basic software issues. Works under close supervision.

•Architect and design systems to meet current and future software and application requirements

•Participate in team and system demonstrations to accept completed stories/features
•Advocate, recommend, & champion process improvements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering related field from an accredited course of study
•Experience with object oriented programming
•Experience programming with C++ and standard template library

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
•Experience developing networking, multi-casting, routing and filtering services.
•Knowledge of Tactical Datalink Operations (Link 16)
•Experience with network performance optimization.
•Experience using Integrated Development Environments (IDE), Microsoft Visual Studio is a plus.
•Cross platform development experience with Windows, Linux and VxWorks.
•Experience with tactical fighter aircraft avionics design, operations and simulations.
•Experience developing with C# and Python.
•Experience with real-time embedded computing resource management and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
•Experience with Agile or SAFe software development methods.

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
