- Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Systems Engineer 3's located in Long Beach, CA.
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Position Responsibilities:
o Apply Systems Engineering principles, tools and techniques to the Design, Technical Documents, Testing, and Certification of aircraft.
o Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
o Knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and loadable/non-loadable software.
o Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
o Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements.
o Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance.
o Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
o Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
o Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
o Implement the Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) for new and existing information systems under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
o Support system analysis for cyber threats
o Support cyber risk assessments and the development of Risk Assessment Report (RAR)
o Support development of Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages
o Knowledge of the DOD policies and requirements related to cybersecurity are a plus, along with certifications such as Security+ or CISSSP
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
Possible but not much.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.
Remote until July then required onsite.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
