Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for an opening in West Hills, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read, understand and implement written laboratory procedures. Ensure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for: Dispensing of biological reagents. Reagent and buffer preparation. Printing labels and labeling bottles, vials, and boxes. Packaging, sealing, and scanning of assays. Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed. Handle and work with biological and chemical reagents. Responsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products as well as in-house supplies. Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity. Properly manage inventories physically and systematically in SAP as well as perform cycle counts. Communicate effectively with supervisor to ensure expectations, progress, and results are clearly understood. Ability to perform routine tasks accurately, efficiently, and according to schedules as assigned. Able to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Review data, recognize, and report inconsistencies to supervisor. Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes. Assist in developing, writing and instituting necessary protocols. Ability to train other lower-level staff in production procedures. Anticipate needs and problems while creating solutions. Ability to solve problems that may come up in the department, troubleshoot, and think critically. Frequent contact with Production Department, Warehouse, Purchasing and other laboratory personnel with a variety of technical and functional backgrounds. Assist in keeping a safe environment. All laboratory personnel are expected to notify their supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and/or practices and to take appropriate corrective actions. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) years of related laboratory experience. Experience with PPI Business System preferred. Experience with New Product Introductions and being part of project teams preferred. Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and practices. Phlebotomist license is highly desired. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Strong organizational, record-keeping, and data analysis skills. Must be customer focused and able to work under pressure with team. Frequently work at laboratory workstation, operating equipment and automation, low temperature freezers, and computer workstations. Some lifting of objects including laboratory instrumentation of 35 pounds. Some travel may be required. May handle human blood, serum, sharps such as needles, and other biologic substances of human and animal origin. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements may change as required.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED Required (Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher learning institution in the Biological Sciences, Chemistry or related field such as Engineering preferred).

Hours: 7A-3:30P M-F PST

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
