Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist II for an opening in South San Francisco, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with technical transfer activities and manufacturing process transfer.
Execute experiments that support sustaining activities for legacy products including cost saving initiatives.
Identify areas of opportunity, assess gaps and resolve issues.
Independently initiate, direct and execute test plans with minimal direction or supervision.
Critically analyze complex data/information, interpret and present results.
Optimize manufacturing protocols to allow for scale.
Work closely with R&D teams to develop new manufacturing protocols and procedures.
Draft and maintain manufacturing documents.
Maintain strict standards of quality.
Maintain accurate lab notebook.
Execute other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive laboratory skills and reagent manufacturing experience
Demonstrate proficiency in use of scientific laboratory techniques, equipment and materials including reagent preparation desired.
Familiarity with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) systems.
Familiarity with IVD products is a plus.
Familiarly with ERP systems, supply chain, vendor interactions is a plus.
Displays positive attitude toward job and others.
Intermediate Excel skills.



EDUCATION:
2-4+ years of experience preferably in Chemistry, Molecular Biology or equivalent field.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science studies or equivalent science related discipline

SHIFT:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
