Chipton-Ross is seeking an Accounting Assistant 1 for an opportunity in Chandler, AZ.
Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department. Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., accounts receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, payrolls, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs; compiles data and prepares a variety of reports. Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers. May reconcile bank and financial statements/report. Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies. Investigates questionable data.
High school diploma or GED.
Familiarity with Microsoft office products, basic proficiency in Excel, ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and coworkers.
High school diploma or equivalent/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
The position is currently remote (we might do a day or two in office for training and such), but could potentially transform into a hybrid work situation with some days remote and some in the office each week.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
