Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for an opening in Tewksbury, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Craft and develop supporting web & desktop applications for embedded devices! Develop software modules based on object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques. Participate in code, design and test plan reviews. Work with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies in a Test Driven Development environment. Estimate and build project timelines with management and lead software development projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
Windows and Linux platform development experience. Experience writing web and desktop applications using Java, Angular, CSS, HTML5 and Javascript, with a focus on UI development. C++ experience. Experience leading software development lifecycle projects, including working with requirements, creation of functional/design specifications, team leadership, software estimating, conducting code reviews and engaging in process improvements. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
SQL, schema and db experience. Experience/exposure to: CD/CD, Docker, VS Code, Typescript. REST, XML and JSON. Tools: Jira, Git, GitLab, Confluence.

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics with 5 years’ experience in the field.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
