Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 System Administrator 2's for an opening in Huntsville, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. Provides support for the design, validation and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems. Performs system monitoring and backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability. Administers users system access to meet security requirements. Performs problem resolution as appropriate.

Seeking an experienced Computing Network System Administrator to support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program. The GMD System is the first and only operationally deployed missile defense program to defend the homeland against long-range ballistic missile attacks. The system provides early detection and tracking during the boost phase, midcourse target discrimination, precision intercept and destruction of inbound Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) through force of hit-to-kill technology. Responsible for support of System Test labs (i.e. patching, networks security monitoring, systems upgrades, etc.)As prime contractor, client is designing, producing, integrating, testing and sustaining all GMD components.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide Network design, implementation, System Administration (SA) and security requirement implementation of hardware and software to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements for both Defense Security Services (DSS) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) associated with all LAB products.
•Develop, document and maintain system architecture to the RMF requirements of a DOD contract.
•Develop test and verification plans for the systems and provide continuous improvements and upgrades to meet changing requirements.
•Familiarization with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
•Install and configure Windows operating systems and other software to assure functionality secure environment.
•Assist with monitoring server infrastructure through monitoring software, anti-virus software and software distribution tools.
•Perform preventative maintenance for clients, including server updates, checking backups, anti-virus and application maintenance.
•Provide LAB test support as required.
•Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Oracle basic administration tasks such as add and remove users in various roles, perform Active Directory User and Machine maintenance tasks, patches, etc. Cisco/Nexus network equipment familiarity desired
•RSA encryption key algorithm Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) knowledge. design and implementation
•Host Base Security Systems (HBSS) knowledge, design and implementation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 1+ years of experience executing DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) for operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019, Redhat Linux 6,7,8)
• Professional certificates in information assurance and/or cyber security
• 1+ years of experience in all aspects of Windows Desktop administration (e.g. application and services, troubleshooting, application configuration, networking, user accounts, Active Directory and/or security).
• 1+ years of experience with Cisco switching, routing and firewall hardware and common network concepts such as LAN/WAN, perimeter, IPSec, routing/switching, packet filtering, IDS/IPS, authentication, cabling, and troubleshooting

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• 1+ years of experience in policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• 1+ years of experience with the Ballistic Missile Defense System

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift if required
