Chipton-Ross is seeking an Information Security Analyst II for an opening in Hood River, OR, possibility of working remote.

Integrating Information Security practices, procedures and tools into IT operations to support various Linux platforms.

Support and maintain existing IT security toolsets in operation today.

Conduct security research and assessments in order to identify technical risk.

Analyze strengths and weaknesses of the organization in order to recommend policy and/or security enhancements.

Document security processes and architecture designs.
Contribute to new Security initiatives including enhancements of the DevSecOps program and others.

Audit IT systems for conformance to policy.

Respond to routine customer issues and resolve per documented guidance.

Deliver customer security awareness training.
Create innovative solutions to technical problems.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Work in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.

Knowledge of the industry environment. Including customers and their business models, competitors, general market forces, global economy, market trends, regulatory environments, and political forces/realities.

Ability to utilize technological tools (e.g., PC's, web sites) and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data relevant to workloads, responsibilities, problem identifications and resolutions. Ability to operate relevant personal computing hardware (e.g., personal computers, software, printers, storage media) and standard software (e.g., word processing, graphics packages, spreadsheets/databases).

Must be able to work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong technical background in IT administration are preferred.

Candidates with experience using Redhat and/or CentOS strong plus!

Strong organizational skills.

Technical Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years related work experience or a Master’s degree. Will consider comparable work experience in lieu of degree.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
