Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I for an opening in Pleasanton, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role the scientist will be responsible for synthesis, analysis, purification, quality control and formulation of oligonucleotides. The candidate will require to work and contribute in multi-disciplinary projects that may involve troubleshooting, writing reports, method and process transfer to manufacturing lab.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with analytical/purification method development
Demonstrated hands-on experience in synthesis, purification (ion exchange, reverse-phase, and desalt) and quality control (QC) of oligos
Hands-on experience with operation of HPLC and UV-VIS spectrometer
Experience in writing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Communication and presentation of data and findings to group and team meetings
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
Experience with AKTA OligoPilot, AKTA Explorer and Agilent HPLC is a plus

EDUCATION:
B.S. in chemistry or Biochemistry with 1-3 years industrial experience in R&D and/or process development

SHIFT:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
