- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Lab Technician 2 for an opening in New Orleans, LA.
•Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
•Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
•Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems.
•Supports the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities.
•Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and posttest tear-down.
•Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results.
•Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.
•Works under general supervision.
•AA (or higher) Electronic Technical Degree
•1+ years' of experience in the design and testing of electrical hardware and wiring
•1+ experience with Avionics and/or Electrical systems.
•1+ years of education or experience in space-based propulsion system
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Accredited AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
FULL TIME/SECOND SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM
Position is primarily 2nd shift but it will be a slow transition from 1st shift after proper training and experience are gained. Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts
This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
