Chipton-Ross is seeking a Documentation Specialist for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

SUMMARY:
The Informatics Document System Specialist supports Carlsbad Manufacturing and responsible for developing and maintaining controlled documents and data information. This role works with subject matter experts and assesses the manufacturing process to develop a streamline documentation that reduces work complexity from the operators using MS Word, Excel, and other systems. This role will use Excel functions and macros to automate complex calculation and build structured batch record for manufacturing. This role supports manufacturing projects that promote electronic batch records and comply with quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Streamline new and existing documents in manufacturing. Implement standardization with new and existing document structure and flow. Integrate automation in manufacturing batch record that promotes error proofing and calculation simplification. Document and maintain critical manufacturing processes. Perform ongoing continuous process improvements focused on systems integration and database migration. Support continued expansion of electronic batch record and work order management in manufacturing. Utilizes lean methodology and problem solving tools to assess opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvements with subject matter experts and manufacturing leadership with the use of technologies. Recommend solutions that are aligned with business strategies and comply with quality standards. Complies with document change control process and coordinates validation/verification efforts for electronic batch records.

REQUIREMENTS:
Strong computer skills including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook. Effectively communicate with all band levels of employees. Ability to work effectively and accurately with site based and remote employees. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to prioritize and be self-directed. Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Able to handle multiple tasks and react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines.

Preferred Qualification:
Experience working in ISO9001 or regulated Manufacturing environment. 1+ years of project management experience. Experience in Agile/scrum methodology. Experience in creating batch records, SOPs, and training documentation. Experience in using Microsoft Office Platform (Excel, Word, Power Point) Experience in writing VBA macros or Excel functions. Experience in software validation and document change control process.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
OR
Accredited Associate’s degree in Biology or related Life Science discipline with 1+ years of experience manufacturing databases, electronic batch records or related experience.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

This requires a person to come onsite in Carlsbad to complete some of the project work. There will be some remote work as well.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
