Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Copywriter for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will handle copywriting as assigned for a high volume of marketing pieces, including emails, brochures, web banners, flyers, and trade show booths. It requires a Jack- or Jill-of-all-trades who can write quickly and well, isn’t afraid to transform at-times challenging scientific subject matter into compelling marketing copy, and can expeditiously develop effective headlines and messaging.

REQUIREMENTS:
Strong copywriting/copy editing background and ability to deliver concise content that adheres to our brand style guidelines; ensures correct trademark usage, grammar, punctuation, etc.; and upholds a consistent approach across all marketing materials. Ability to distill complex technical/scientific information into effective, value-driven messaging. Exceptional attention to detail and high regard for quality. Expert knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style. Ability to quickly learn and integrate “house” style exceptions into above guidelines. Preference for and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent collaboration and customer service skills. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InCopy, and Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of marketing best practices.

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS in English, journalism, marketing, advertising, or related field.
1–3 years of copywriting experience, preferably working with or for clients in the life sciences or biotech fields

SHIFT:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
