Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lab Technician for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

Maintain a safe work environment
Perform work in accordance with daily production schedules to fulfill work orders and special requests
Follow batch records to perform solution preparation while documenting the production process as required
Utilize basic mathematical skills to perform required calculations and provide accurate data documentation
Maintain cleanliness of the Solutions Lab
Will require the use of PPE such as respirators; half-face respirator and PAPR
Lead/facilitate safety and quality-related Gemba walks.
Maintain inventory of chemicals, raw materials and laboratory supplies in the Solutions Lab
Support the Antibody department by ensuring all Kanban items are sufficiently stocked in a timely manner
Independently plan and schedule production as needed for buffer solutions based on requests from R&D, Antibody and other departments
Assist adjacent groups after daily duties have been achieved
Learn and follow all department SOPs, guidelines, and procedures
Perform daily updates in multiple database systems
Share best practices with other employees in the areas of safety, quality and productivity
Proactively addresses ergonomic concerns in work area
Escalate any safety, quality, or equipment-related issues in a timely manner
Solves basic problems utilizing experience and knowledge
Perform other related duties as assigned by area supervision

Basic mathematical skills to perform required calculations
Experience with lab equipment such as pH meter, mixers, titrator, and RI meters.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking

At least 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
Proactive problem-solving skills
Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or GMP manufacturing environment
Experience with Good Documentation Practices and document review
Experience with electronic inventory management systems and documentation management systems.

High school diploma (or GED) required
A Bachelors in similar field, biology, biotechnology and or chemistry (preferred)


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
