Chipton-Ross is seeking a Procurement Specialist for an opening in King of Prussia, PA.

Execute Sourcing and Implementation of Capital or Opex Expenditures (25%)
Obtain stakeholder buy-in prior to initiation of sourcing strategies and award of work
Develop and execute contracts for assigned projects
Communicate to stakeholders, customers and project teams on progress, barriers, results, and new opportunities
Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as they arise to relevant G&SP, BU and Project stakeholders.
Support client Regional Manager- Capital (25%)
Utilize knowledge of key suppliers and the market to optimize the source of supply and identify savings opportunities on the project you support.
Work collaboratively with Regional Manager to identify and execute savings initiatives at the project and organizational level

Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms,
Process purchase requisitions for all assigned projects in accordance with established Purchasing Policies, Procedures, and client policies and procedures.
Examine and analyze purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contact initiator to clarify or complete information, determine method to process requisition based on strategy and timeliness required.
Update delivery dates on Purchase Orders as a result of changes to the order acknowledgement, and communicate with the Requisitioner or the indirect material sourcing manager.
Communicate identified conflicts in delivery dates between the requested delivery date of the Requisitioner and the Supplier, and work to resolve delivery related issues to dates.

Contract Administration and Document Management (15%)
Evaluate & ensure contract compliance and advise others on contractual rights and obligations
Perform post award activities including coordinating all contract submittals and correspondence, managing claims, and project document close-out
Facilitate the internal review and approval of final contract documents and document approvals received
Ensure documentation to negotiate change orders and claims is properly produced and organized

Work collaboratively with the Law Department and Project Team in the preparation of any assigned claims pertain to strategic capital contracts
Develop and implement a Purchasing project file system to retain purchase orders, purchase order supporting documentation, change orders and supporting documentation including notices, communications and meeting/discussion notes, and communications regarding issues and potential claims

Communication, Coaching & Coordination (10%)
Manage special projects for process improvement
Understand the implications of issues and effectively manage/investigate/resolve/suggest process improvements
Consistently recommend, initiate and mentor others in the group, and identify gaps

Previous Procurement/Sourcing/Supply Chain experience (6+ years)
Previous experience in capital sourcing (2+ years)
Plant (chemical) experience (preferred)
Proficient in computer applications including SAP, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
SAP Power User in P2P module

Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (preferred)


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
