- Chipton-Ross is seeking an RF Production Technician for an opening in Grand Rapids, MI.
General duties expected of a technician to include test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and inspect product maintained in the shop to component level. Products include a mix of analog, RF, and digital circuits across through hole, surfacemount, and Ball Grid Array technologies.
Applicant at a minimum must meet the requirements for the classification of Production Technician II. Minimum qualifications for this position. Preferred candidate should have knowledge of electronic theory relating to RF transmission, receiver circuits, analog and digital circuitry. Ability to troubleshoot RF circuits with working knowledge of spectrum analysis, cable measurements, and calibrations required. Prior experience in procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, and equipment used in maintaining TCAS and Transponders and/or experience working within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or Part 21 Production Approval Holder highly desired. Candidate must comply with DOT (FAA) drug and alcohol screening requirements.
Must be proficient with PCs to operate with multiple data bases, MS Office applications, and Automated Test Equipment. Will routinely use general purpose and specialized test equipment including multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Network and Spectrum Analyzers.
AA degree in electronics or equivalent combination of schooling plus experience in an applicable environment
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
