Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Planner for an opening in Madison, WI.

The Production Planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements to best utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels. Will plan and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and analyze order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.

Evaluate ability to ship all customer orders within lead time or in accordance to customer requirements. Maintain pick, pack, and logistics accuracy, standard lead-times and service objectives in SAP to maximize customer experience and revenue, while minimizing the use air freight and other expedite costs. Alert Buyer/Planner and Production Supervisor of material shortages preventing shipments within lead time or on time shipment of customer orders. Create shop orders, assemble materials and confirm shop orders in SAP for customer order line items as needed. Support efforts to drive lowest back-order levels. Participate in problem resolution activities, when required, to insure timely deliveries to / from global locations to customers.

2-3 years of relevant purchasing or planning experience. Demonstrated ability in working with SAP TCODEs relevant to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Strong analytical skills combined with practical business acumen. Demonstrated ability in building relationships across various functional teams. Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability in working well in a global organization within Operations and with external clients. Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from manager. Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant experience in the Life Science or Medical Device industry.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED
