Chipton-Ross is seeking a QA Manager for an opening in Goose Creek, SC.

o Shall be qualified to establish techniques and procedures; interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designating the particular NDT methods, techniques, and procedures to be used.
o Shall have sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication and product technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance criteria where none are otherwise available.

o Proficiency with MS Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
o Working knowledge of metal fabrication and construction techniques.
o 10+ years of progressive project experience in heavy civil construction environments preferred.
o Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
o Strong verbal and written skills.
o U.S. citizenship is required.

o One (1) year satisfactory performance as a Level I Inspector in the discipline or certification, or
o High school graduate with three (3) years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, or
o Completion of college level work leading to an Associate Degree in a related discipline plus one (1) year related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, or
o A four (4) year college graduation plus six (6) months of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities.
o Level II Inspectors shall have all of the capabilities of a Level I Inspector. Additionally, a Level II Inspector shall be capable of planning inspections, tests and examinations including set-up required, equipment, and generating/reviewing procedures relative to their areas of qualification. Level II Inspectors shall be capable of evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection results, supervising, and certifying lower level inspection personnel.

Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions, information gathered from meters, dials or calibrated scales and visual display units. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Candidate should have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

ASNT-TC-1A Certified NDT Level II who is capable of establishing techniques and procedures; interpreting codes and standards such as MIL-STD-248/NAVSEA S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248, MIL-STD-271/NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271, and MIL-STD-278/NAVSEA S9074-AR-GIB-010/278, and designating the particular nondestructive testing methods, techniques, and procedures to be used.
