Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Propulsion Engineer 4's for an opening in Seal Beach, CA.

Respond to customer technical service requests.
Evaluate service requests and reports for potential safety issues.
Learn and advocate for the needs of our airline customers and their operations.
Supports customer service requests with development of technical dispositions, instructions, and designs for damage allowance/treatment and deviations to nacelle structures design and repairs (Inlets, Fan Cowls, Thrust Reverser/Core Cowls, and Exhausts).
Develops, leads, and reviews urgent (hours to days), longer-term (weeks to months), simple, moderate, and significantly complex repair schemes for metallic and composite parts including preparation of 8100-9 forms for AD-affected structure, AMOCs, and major repairs.
Develops creative and innovative structural repair methods, predictive/proactive projects, and improvements to existing SRMs and support documentation in support of our customers and development of client Nacelle Repair methodologies.
Leverages our Customer Support, Suppliers, and client networks to support customer needs.
This role is expected to primarily support 1st shift, 2nd shift/weekends as needed. International and domestic travel may be required.

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
10+ years of experience in support/design of structural repair
Experience in composite (NDI methods, scarf repair methods, ply map definition and modeling) and metallic structural repair

10+ years of experience in support/design of nacelles/propulsion structures
Experience as an engineer in a customer support role to an airline or supplier

Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.

WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Extended hours may be required in order to complete daily tasks. Candidates must be open to working evening and weekends as needed.
