Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Analyst for an opening in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) of the client is seeking a talented hands-on Data Science Analyst to help drive the roadmap, adoption and execution of data science initiatives working closely with internal stakeholders and our company’s expert Data Science teams.

This person will have a background in data science, data management and manipulation, as well as analytics to report on results achieved in the program.

Master Data Analytics. Work directly with sites and business partners to understand their individual Master Data needs. Use data analysis skills and toolset to discover impactful insights about Master Data quality and management, evaluating product data with reference to data standards in order to identify data defects. Partner with data owners to distribute data quality reports, audit the health of the data and drive data clean-up where product data is not in compliance with data standard.

Evaluate product data against defined standards to identify gaps or inaccuracies. Develop capability to systematically compare product data across systems and identify and correct discrepancies or gaps. Execute data changes and update appropriate software, application, or tool. Develop a plan, which includes milestones and metrics to measure data defects resolution and data cleansing progress vs. agreed upon plan. Generate reports on data health, communicate process gaps and opportunities, and escalate issues or requests for support to assigned company sponsors/stakeholders. Handle multiple tasks and timelines effectively and communicate risks and issues to company sponsors regularly.

Must have strong Excel skills: Proficient with V-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, macros, charts. Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, etc. Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or equivalent. Familiarity with analysis and output verification techniques. Energetic and able to manage large amounts of data with the right attention to the details. Excellent interpersonal skills; must be a team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive, patient, and professional demeanor. Strong time management, organizational, analytical, and technical skills. Good project management skills (timeline, project plan)

Accredited Bachelor’s degree (data science would be ideal but not required).


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
