Chipton-Ross is seeking a Procurement Specialist for an opening in Frederick, MD

Support manufacturing operations in the area of materials procurement (direct and indirect) including review and execution of MRP generated action messagesMaintain day to day communication with suppliers to ensure high levels of on-time delivery, system data integrity, and ordering parameters for individual materials. Represent procurement at value stream daily/weekly meetings including MRB, ECO board, and tiered daily management.Work with domestic and international suppliers for material procurement, including low cost regions such as Mexico, China, Indonesia, and othersManage the purchased material aspects of new product introductions into productionDrive improvements to Customer Allegiance Scores by procuring material on-time and proactively identifying any material availability issuesQualifications

APICS and or ISM certification is desirable. Exceptional organizational skills SAP experience preferredAnalytical skillsAbility to follow through on tasks to completionHigh degree of initiativeGood written and verbal communication skillsPersonal computer skills to include ERP and MRP systemsGood customer/supplier relations skillsGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams including design, development, marketing and customer service and developing supply chain requirements to support material flow optimizationMicrosoft Office Proficiency3-5 years of experience in supply chain in a manufacturing environment.

Accredited Bachelors Degree is preferred however can be replaced with applicable work or industry experience
