Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tool Control Technician for an opening in Orlando, FL
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50% - Able to perform tasks in the Tool Control and Government Property department such as: issue and receive test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators and specialized environmental test equipment (vibe tables, altitude and thermal chambers, etc).
20% - Categorize and properly store hand tools and related company and government test equipment.
15% - Maintain an inventory of tools, inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects, and request new equipment when needed.
10% - Maintain and file records of tool use, equipment and calibration dates and records both written and electronic.
5% - Support manufacturing, engineering, and quality personnel in test equipment
This work requires delicate handling, reaching, light lifting and may require a combination of sitting and standing as well as walking between test locations and occasional use of small step-ladders.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical hardware. Have knowledge of basic functionality of test equipment. Experience with electrical and environmental test equipment. Ability to read and interpret procedures, wiring diagrams, and electrical and mechanical drawings. Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel). Compliance to quality and safety policies at all times!
Experience with RF hardware, measurement and testing Willingness to work varied shifts to support surge activities Familiarity with lean processes
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
