Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

SUMMARY:
As part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG) IT Team, the Microbial Manufacturing Services (MMS) IT Team coordinates with Group/Division IT and IT Shared Services to provide all IT services to the MMS Business Team, including the overall IT architecture and governance, application services, infrastructure services, process improvement and automation, and related training to the MMS user community and enabling MMS for continued growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT, the IT System Analyst gathers requirements from the business, articulate on what the business needs, translate that into comprehensive system/technical design, and coordinates with Group/Division IT and/or IT Shared Services Team to deliver the solution. Work with business and IT through the entire System/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), i.e., requirement/gap analysis, technical design, testing, deployment, postproduction support. Collecting and understanding the business overall goals, requirements and objectives, assisting in the prioritization of business technology projects, ensuring that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment, and linking IT strategy in support of the overall business/service line strategy. Serve as the liaison between the business, Group/Division IT, and IT Shared Services for the technology need and act as an advocate for the business. Works with business area leadership and governance teams to understand project requirements, shape project requests, and provide a high-level estimate of the project effort and costs in cost-benefit analysis. Self-starter who is able to learn quickly and drive cross functional IT teams to deliver IT solution to the business based on the timeline. Perform project management tasks as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Understand the business direction and identify opportunities for technology innovation. Ensures that teams are adhering and supporting quality procedures and policies. REQUIREMENTS:
More than 5 years system analysis experience in a large environment. More than 5 years experience performing system and infrastructure management . Work experience developing and supporting Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Quality Systems, etc. Work experience in the Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences industry (preferred) Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. System and Infrastructure knowledge and experiences required. Ability to build strong relationships with our business and IT partners. Superior customer service and communication skills required. Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical. Strong organizational change management capability. Skills in developing KPIs/OKRs, and reports in Excel or BI Tools (PowerBI, etc.) Ability to work simultaneously on multiple requirements or priorities Ability to travel moderately (10-15%) - or more frequently as needed. Ability to work over time or during weekend as needed

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in computer, engineering, or related field required.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Standard day hours, around 8-5 mon/fri

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
