Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Software Cloud Engineers based in one of the following locations; Berkeley MO, Colorado Springs CO, El Segundo CA, Fairfax VA, North Charleston SC, Huntsville AL, or Germantown MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking an Experienced Software Cloud Engineer to help guide theDevSecOps transformation across all business units. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain modern cloud-based systems and infrastructure in a fast-paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have proven skills in SRE, DevOps, cloud environments, software development, test automation, and system automation.

As a member of the DevSecOps team, you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to operation and support of cloud-based systems delivered to our customers.

This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our project as well as the customers we support. The DevSecOps team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from or lead others.

TECHNOLOGY AREAS OF THIS POSITION ARE:
Agile product development
Continuous integration, testing, and delivery
Automated system testing, integration, and deployment
Infrastructure as code (IaC)
Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers from multiple product teams
Review and suggest modifications to cloud architectures
Research and pitch new tools/products to the team

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or C++
Familiarity with software security methods
Experience using an array of automation tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Strong Linux experience

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset
Understanding of security controls such as DoD RMF, HIPAA, or SOC2
Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
Understanding of designing and implementing full stack microservices infrastructure
In particular, the candidate should be able to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level services, such as Identity and Access Management
Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS:7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
