Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Associate Software Cloud Engineer (Level 2) based out of one of the following HUBS- Berkeley MO, Colorado Springs CO, El Segundo CA, Fairfax VA, North Charleston SC, Huntsville AL, or Germantown MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Supports software project management and software supplier management functions.
Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics.
Performs software research and trade studies.
Troubleshoots software issues.
Works under general supervision.
Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or C++

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset
Experience with security controls such as DoD RMF, HIPAA, or SOC2
Experience with CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
Experience designing and implementing full stack microservices infrastructure
Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level services, such as Identity and Access Management
Experience with software security methods
Experience using an array of automation tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Strong Linux experience

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelors of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 am - 3:30 pm

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
