- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for an opening in Torrance, CA.
Executing development and technical guidance for on-going software/website development projects at all levels of the stack
Assist with design, maintenance, and best practices for an efficient and reliable Ruby codebase
Develop simple and understandable solutions to complex problems
Synthesize information from a multitude of resources and pull all relevant information together into a comprehensive deliverable product
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Perform other duties as requested or assigned
5+ years of programming experience, or comparable experience through prior experiences - we'd much prefer a rockstar who can provide the technical expertise we need than just somebody with some number of years of experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, WordPress, Access, SharePoint)
Self-motivated and open to change as this is a fast-paced environment and thinking outside of the box is required
Ease and openness to working closely with co-workers and a can-do attitude is essential
Experience performing UAT is a plus
FileMaker knowledge is a big PLUS
Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
Bachelor's degree from accredited University in Computer Science is strong preferred, but again, not all rockstars may have this.
