Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Buyer for an opening in Fremont, CA.

SUMMARY:
The Buyer / Planner is responsible for planning and buying raw materials to support the NPI projects. This position will maintain and update material master data, including vendor lead times, ordering quantities, expiry dates, etc. They will also review BOMs and modules to confirm accuracy of materials and quantities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enter and update purchase orders into the purchasing system. Assist in the planning and procurement activities for direct and indirect materials as well as operating supplies. Work with vendors to expediate the delivery of the parts on time.Coordinates purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Ensure purchase orders conform to contracts and policies. Coordinate delivery schedules with vendors. Escalate key supplier issues to management team. Other duties as assigned for completing routine assigned tasks of other individuals in the department in their absence. Manage critical components from key suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS:
1-2 years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chain functions required. ERP - QAD is preferred. Excel data analysis, including lookups and pivot tables. Detail oriented and good time management skills. Excellent written and communication skills.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor’s degree with Supply Chain or Operations focus, or 1-2 years equivalent experience in Supply/Demand Planning.

WORK HOURS:
Part-Time
Shift days/hours: Days ( 2-3 days a week), hours TBD

Remote or onsite: On site

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
