Chipton-Ross is seeking a Calibration Technician 2 for an opportunity in Chandler, AZ.

Metrology technician that provides calibration service for the internal metrology lab. Follows standard procedures and established guidelines calibrating test and measurement equipment. This position is a critical part of the process to get test equipment to the customer when they need it and ready to operate. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player and must be a motivated, self starter who can meet internal customer’s needs.

Responsible for:
- Calibration, functional testing, and configuration of test and measuring equipment, utilizing provided procedures and standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of tests and services performed and enters required information in the company's database.

Duties/Responsibilities of Position:
- Ensure calibrations performed are traceable to NIST.
- Assist customers with technical issues.
- Clean and accessorize equipment and maintain a clean and orderly lab area.
- Work on assigned projects with minimal supervision making decisions within established guidelines and policies.

- High School Diploma and Associate of Applied Science or equivalent experience in a commercial or military Calibration Laboratory
- Strong customer focus, teamwork, organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in the theory of operation and application of calibration standards.
- Knowledgeable in the operation of test and measuring equipment including multimeters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, torque wrenches, accelerometers, dimensional measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Access and other programs and ability to quickly learn new computer programs and applications.
- Knowledge of Fluke MetTeam/MetCal a plus

High School Diploma or equivalent.
School must be accredited.

9/80 workweek

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
