Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for an opening in Fort Worth, TX
Highly qualified self-sufficient designer needed to develop, debug, and integrate processor subsystem features and interfaces in FPGA hardware. Task entails FPGA requirements development, FPGA code development of high speed interfaces, generation of self-checking test bench, unit test, synthesis, timing analysis, Built-In-Test (BIT) and support of debug and system integration activities.
• Performing Design Architecture activities for various programs and IRAD projects
• Ability to perform FPGA/Firmware architecture and design
• General knowledge of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Supporting Program Manager and Principal Investigator to meet all objectives and project milestones
Experience with System On a Chip (SOC) and FPGA architecture, design, and development (Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL), associated tools (Vivado, Vitis, etc.), and IP Cores
Experience with Xilinx devices and their associated application environments
Knowledge of digital signal processing functions, (radar, electronic warfare, and sonar)
Extensive VHDL firmware programming capability
Experience with Configuration Management (CM) and Change Control concepts and tools (Git, DOORS, Subversion, Mantis, Jira, etc.)
Experience working with Functional Requirements and defining Requirement Based Tests
Experience with UVM/OVM
Experience with MATLAB modeling
Any Experience with Higher level code development, (Simulink HDL Coder and/or Xilinx System Generator)
Possess technical expertise to implement designs without appreciable direction
Some project leadership experience
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
