Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lead Propulsion Engineer - Air Breathing for an opening in Berkeley, MO.

Propulsion Engineer to execute propulsion statement of work new product design, development and integration projects in the areas of Fixed Wing Aircraft and/or Missile Systems. The Flight Engineering Capability supports the business in all aspects of the product life cycle with propulsion engineering design, analysis, testing, integration, demonstration and certification. This position will serve as a member of a technical team of engineers in the areas of propulsion performance, installation, design and analysis, test, and qualification of flight vehicles and their propulsion components.

Leads requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and air breathing systems.
Leads definition, coordination and control the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and vehicle.
Leads development specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Leads configuration/design propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.
Leads the use of various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
Leads support of fielded systems by developing responses to customer queries and providing technical recommendations
Leads development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
7+ years of experience working in Fuel Systems or Propulsion Systems.
Experience with jet engines and/or fuel system mechanical operation fundamentals.
Propulsion hardware integration, design & qualification experience
Propulsion ground and flight test
Standard Flight Qualification experience, FAA & or Military

experience in fixed wing environment & propulsion systems and airworthiness. MIL-HDBK-516C

Preference: Previous Client Experience

Propulsion system installation
Propulsion system support
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently

Accredited Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

Potential for 10% or less domestic travel.

WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
