Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Buyer for an opening in Torrance, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direct supervision, interprets ERP material requirements, determines appropriate economic order quantity, requests quotes from established suppliers, and awards Purchase Orders as either source directed, and/or as per Purchase Agreements, or on combined basis of delivery, quantity, and price. Uses guidelines and defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

REQUIREMENTS:
Monitors ERP/advice releases to determine when order should be placed, and to determine most economic order quantity based upon future usage and price.
Quotes suppliers in compliance with Government regulations.
Awards PO’s following proper signature guidelines based upon proper criteria (e.g. quality, delivery, price), or as source directed, or per existing Blanket Purchase Agreement.
Reschedules or cancels orders as necessary to meet factory requirements.
Interfaces with supplier base to insure on time delivery, expedites past due orders, and manages facility priorities at supplier base.
Resolves quality issues concerning supplier’s material (MRB/RTV).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ERP/Purchasing system helpful.
PC knowledgeable.

EDUCATION:
• Two (2) years of college in a Supply Chain or business administration field, bachelor’s degree preferred.

9/80

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
