Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Optical 3 for an opportunity in Chandler, AZ.
Responsible for developing optical test suites to validate optical performance in a lab environment.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience with gimbaled optical telescope systems in IR spectrum.
Familiar with the following optical tests:
Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), Noise Equivalent Irradiance (NEI), Minimum Resolvable Temperature Difference (MRTD), Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD), and Non-Uniformity Correction (NUC).
Experience with optical system analysis (radiometry). Familiarity with optical component assembly, alignment and manufacturing. Ability to guide technicians, junior engineers and define processes. Knowledge/familiarity with cooled focal plane array technologies (T2-SLS, InSb, MCT).
School must be accredited.
9/80 work week.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
