Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 3 for an opening in Alburquerque, NM.

•Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design
•Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups
•Perform and document analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
•Contribute to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
•Support system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation
•Train others
•Work under general direction
CAD systems being used: Solidworks and NX

•1+ years of experience with tool or mechanical design
•Experience with finite element method

•5+ years of experience in the design of electro-optical systems
•5+ years of experience in mechanical systems design and analysis
•5+ years of experience in Finite Element Analysis of structures utilizing Femap/NX NASTRAN
•5+ years of experience using Windchill (a Product Data Management (PDM) tool)
•5+ years of experience with TeamCenter and Product Data Management

Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

1st Shift
